This week in Extraordinary Normal we will be talking about the life of Joseph. This is a different Joe than last week.
This is the Joe whose brothers were so jealous of their father's love for him that they sold him into slavery.
He later was thrown into prison under false charges of attempted rape when, in fact, the event was caused by a woman who was trying to seduce him.
In prison he earned favor by interpreting dreams and was later invited to interpret dreams for the ruler at the time and soon became that ruler's right hand man.
And, oh yeah, those same brothers later came to him (not knowing it was him) in search of food during famine.
There are all sorts of extraordinary things about this Joe's life. Take some time this week to check it out for yourself in Genesis chapters 37 and 39-45.

What does the image at the top of this week's preparing our hearts represent? And what verse in the scripture passage is it talked about?
It represents the richly ornamented robe that Joseph made.
Genesis:
3 and he made a richly ornamented [a] robe for him
22 they stripped him of his robe—the richly ornamented robe he was wearing-
32 They took the ornamented robe back to their father and said
33 "It is my son's robe!
Who was it that kept the brothers from killing Joseph and suggested instead that they sell him? Verse this is talked about?
Rueben
21 When Reuben heard this, he tried to rescue him from their hands. "Let's not take his life," he said. 22 "Don't shed any blood.
What Bible reader software does our blog suggest is very helpful in personal Bible study and what date was that blog entry?
