This week we will address the emotional side of staying in love. It's much easier to stay in love when you're "feelin' it", agreed?
Like last week, we're going to find a truth here that is counter cultural at the least but one that none the less applies.
Your ability to stay in love has as much to do with the condition of your heart as the behavior of your spouse.
It is so easy, as we assess what is "wrong" in our relationships, to assign fault to all the things the other person does. What could happen in our relationship though if we were to first look at the condition of our own heart?
After all, we can't control anyone other than ourselves anyway.
So, what do you think? What if your first thought the next time you go bump with your spouse was to figure out what condition in your heart contributed to the situation? How would it change things?
