These aren't people I'd expect you to know. But, these are people who are largely responsible for me being behind this computer, in this office, writing this blog.
These are adults who knew me by first name, who invested time out of every week into me, who saw my love for the arts and for Jesus and used their talents and abilities to encourage me, challenge me and just love me.
If it weren't for these people, my life would likely look very different... I'd probably be doing actuarial work for an insurance company somewhere putting my math degree to work... yuck!
Who can you look back to who invested in you as a kid or as a teenager? How much did they impact who you are today?
A better question, even, is who do you need to be investing in?
Which kids in your life need someone with your skills and personality to get up beside them and help them learn, grow and find their way in their walk with Jesus?
This week we're going to roll out Orange. It is more than just a cool marketing campaign for a new way to do Next Gen ministry. It is a shift in perspective. It is a chance for all of us to do for someone what someone else has already done for us.
So, how about it? Are you ready to be Orange?!
