Last week Douglas talked about how to be balanced we need a clear objective.
I loved the illustration he gave of lending his boat. If he lent his boat out to someone he wouldn't expect them to take care of 10% of his boat... he'd expect them to take care of 100% of his boat. In the same way, we are managers of the finances God has provided us with and we are to use 100% of our finances to honor Him, not just 10%.
This week, we're going to take a little more "nuts and bolts" look at how to do that as we address what it looks like to be making constant corrections to maintain balance in our finances.
We can't just let our finances run on auto pilot, although that is really tempting in our crazy, hurried, fast paced lives. Instead, we need to be constantly "spying on our money" and making adjustments in our spending, saving, and giving in order to stay balanced.
As you head into the weekend, ask yourself if you are honoring God with 100% of the money He has entrusted to you. And where you feel like you are not, make the correction necessary to change that.
