This week we are addressing how we can find something worth fighting for in 2010.
If you are like me, it's not just a nice thing to know that your life has purpose... it is necessary. You have to know that you're getting up in the morning to make some sort of contribution to the world around us.
Here at Cypress we take that seriously not only on an individual level but on a corporate level as well. We, as the church, need to be busy being the hands and feet of Jesus in a hurting world.
We do that through our extension ministry efforts in downtown Clearwater, in Kenya with our orphanage, and in Haiti.
The timeliness of this week couldn't be more appropriate as we all watch horrific images of the devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti.
We can make 2010 a year that counts not just in our own lives and agendas. It can be a year where we make an impact on the world in a very real, tangible way.
Please take some time this week and ask God what He wants you to do with your 2010 to be His hands and feet in a hurting world.
