We recently had a service that addressed the idea of what is a church and why should I belong to one. During the teaching that day, Douglas made a statement that stuck with me. "If you are a part of the body but not attached to the body why would you expect to be growing, thriving?" The illustration he gave was of a hand that was not attached to a body. It would certainly not be thriving or growing it would be dying.

just like that hand, we need to be attached to and actively involved in the body of Christ to grow spiritually. Most of us have the involved in part down pat. We serve regularly.

But, have you taken the step to become a member of Cypress?

If not, why not?

This Saturday, from 8:30 - 2:30 there is a class called Following Jesus that is a requirement if you would like to become a member of Cypress. I can tell you that it is a completely painless process. :) If you are scheduled to be a part of our Christmas rehearsal, but would like to take part in this class, please call me at 727-725-4570 I'm sure we can make it work.

Being a part of the body is important. Please contact the church office at 727-725-4570 and get in on this class if you aren't already a member at Cypress.
