I started considering some questions about prayer today.
How do I pray?
Really. If I give it some thought, what do my prayers sound like? communicate?
If I turn it around in my mind and imagine that I am in a relationship with someone and how I pray is how they communicate with me, do I feel known? honored? Do I feel truly connected?
If prayer is a means of communicating with and developing my relationship with God, is the way I am praying going to accomplish those goals?
