Wow, we've come such a long way in our Jesus Uncensored series! We've studied for over 12 weeks many of the things Jesus had to say to us in the Gospels. This has been a great journey for me personally. I love learning. I enjoy studying certain topics and going really deep in them. It is something that truly fills me up and energizes me. So this series has been right up my alley! My thirst for learning has a drawback, though, and I think it is one that we all can suffer from on occasion. The drawback is that I can spend a lot of time learning and then do nothing with what I have learned. All of my efforts then become learning just for the sake of learning.
Let's agree not to do that with what we've learned in Jesus Uncensored. I mean, think about it, we've all at one time or another wished that Jesus would speak right into our lives, our situations. Through the Gospels, He's done just that. Let's take what we've learned here from what He had to say and apply it to our lives and allow it to change us. As Douglas would say, Deal? Deal.

One of the lessons that hit home with me was the reminder to "pray this way". I had let my prayers reduce themselves to a random "to-do" list for God whenever I thought to pray rather than a means of communication with my Father. What a great reminder that week was to make adoration, confession, thanksgiving and supplication all parts of my constant conversation with Him.
